In the southern part of the state of Puebla, in the Tehuacán Cuicatlán Biosphere Reserve, there is a municipality called Zapotitlán Salinas, where an ancient tradition of organic salt production continues.

Day 1

We leave Mexico City from your location at 6 am on a journey of approximately 4 hours to this point.

We will have breakfast at a local restaurant with traditional food from the site, finishing we will head to the Salineras where we will have an explanation of how the salt of that place is obtained and made, we will continue to climb the Cuthá hill (Tumba Popoloca an ethnic group of Mexico that lived in the valleys of that region), in a 3-hour walk, where you will not only find the tomb, also part of its dwellings as well as an explanation of th…
